I had travelled in India more than 100 cities, more than 20 countries all around the world, and may multiple times but this is the first hotel in my life, I have seen a TV LOCKED in SHELF that too in chain like GOLDEN TULIP. Are these people crazy.

Had a pathetic stay, which I am forced to shorten by 2 days and shift hotel. No courtesy, not food available in restaurant, AC not working, broken crockery, taps leaking and all possible issues which is possible was existing. No responsible person available to sort your queries. Had sleepless nights and endless requests which fell on deaf ears. I will not recommend this property at SG Highway, Ahmedabad. "Zero Ratings" from my side.

This hotel (if you can call it that) is your worst nightmare. Pictures speak louder than words. You can see for yourself. I booked the hotel through Goibibo which says this hotel belongs to the golden tulip chain of hotels; but I seriously doubt it. This place needs serious overhauling. The walls, ceilings, skirtings, biddings, furniture are all worn out. The room had a seepage smell and algae on the wall of the bathing area. I asked the manager to put me into the best room they had. They called it a suite because it has more space and a lounge chair; but it was worse than the room I was put in. The rooms don’t have any of the toilettes except bath gel and soap. The towels have rust and stains all over them. Even the breakfast is horrible. Vijay Sharma, Manager is a soft spoken decent person; but I felt that either his concerns are not being taken seriously by the management; and even he is tired of it. My advice: please don’t be fooled by the golden tulip stamp. Spend another thousand and have a blissful stay at Binori hotel just across the road.

Need to renovate the hotel

Indeed my stay was huge in this hotel so got the chance to get to know the hotel inside out. Very first thing is that management must think seriously to renovate this property. This property will definitely rock. All staff working at hotel are great. Very helpful. For last few days of my visit I used to go work bit late and used to come back in room by 2 to 2.30 in the night. Whenever I used to call room service for food I used to get what I required. I would like to thank hotel for such a lovely staff. In bathroom while taking shower water comes out in toilet area through door. Television sets in the room are placed so oddly that due to a glass on it all reflection of lights in behing me was all I can see in it. To watch television I had to switch off my all lights in room.

The room size mentioned on site is actually half size and hotel bathrooms are too small and hotel upkeep is pathetic. Breakfast is pathetic too lift is too small in size no more than 2 people can travel in loft. Even the hotel staff is uncourteous Never try this hotel
